Obverse description Central crowned coat of arms of Saxony and Poland, comprising a quartered shield with the Saxon barry-bendy arms and the Polish eagle, surmounted by an electoral crown. The shield is flanked by heraldic supporters. The circular legend surrounding the arms reads D:G:FRID:AUGUST:REX POL: with the mintmaster initials I.D.B. below the shield. The rim is decorated with a fine beaded border.
