Obverse description Central quartered shield of arms displaying the Saxon barry and the crossed swords of Meissen, impaled with the Polish eagle and Lithuanian Pursuer, surmounted by an electoral bonnet. The mint mark 'EDC' appears in the exergue below the shield. The circular Latin legend reads: XAVERIVS D·G· REG· POL· DVX· SAX·, with the fineness indication CCCXX EINE MARCK continuing along the left arc of the border.
