| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Queen Victoria facing left, engraved in the Young Head portrait style by Leonard Charles Wyon. The queen's hair is elaborately arranged with a jewelled diadem and gathered in a coiled chignon at the nape. A six-pointed star appears in the lower field below the truncation. The peripheral legend reads VICTORIA D.G. BRITANNIAR. REGINA F.D., separated by raised dots, and the coin is bordered by a continuous beaded rim. |
