Obverse description Central field dominated by the large royal cypher of Gustav III — a bold Gothic 'G' enclosing the Roman numeral 'III' — surmounted by a detailed royal crown with cross finial. The crowned monogram is rendered in high relief against a smooth field. The circular legend 'FADERNESLANDET· GIII' arcs along the upper periphery in incuse Latin characters, translating as 'For the Fatherland.' The coin's milled border is visible along the rim.

Reverse description Central device comprises the crowned Swedish coat of arms — a horizontally lined oval shield bearing three open crowns arranged two above one — surmounted by a royal crown with cross finial. To the left of the shield the denomination '1/24' is inscribed, and to the right the abbreviation 'R.' for Riksdaler. Below the shield, the mintmaster's initials 'O·L' appear above the four-digit date, here '1783'. The overall composition is contained within a plain border.
