Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of Sun Yat-sen, founder of the Republic of China, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and collar. A six-character Chinese legend arcs across the upper field reading 'Year 18 of the Republic of China' (中華民國十八年). A cursive inscription or engraver's notation appears in the left field. The design is enclosed within a milled border of fine dentils running along the coin's periphery.
