| Obverse description | The traditional Persian imperial emblem of the Lion and Sun occupies the central field: a passant lion in profile facing left, brandishing an upraised curved sword (shamshir) in its right forepaw, with a radiant rising sun issuing from its back. A Kiani crown is positioned above the sun at the top of the field. The entire device is encircled by a wreath composed of an olive branch on the left and an oak branch on the right, tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The date in Eastern Arabic numerals appears in the exergue below the wreath. |
