| Obverse description | Central field displays the Portuguese royal arms — a cross-shaped arrangement of five escutcheons, each charged with five bezants (quinas), enclosed within a quatrefoil frame. The composition follows the traditional medieval Portuguese armorial design as used under Fernando I. A circular Latin legend runs along the outer rim within a beaded border, though the lettering is garbled and partially illegible, characteristic of atypical issues struck at the Tuy mint in Spain. |

| Obverse lettering | + FERNANDVS : MICRI : AIUT (Wrong lettering... a mess) |
| Reverse description | A plain Greek cross with equal arms occupies the central field, surmounted by a crown at the apex, all within a beaded inner circle. The reverse follows the tornês typology derived from French models. A circular Latin legend reading + SIDOMINVS : MICHI : ADIVT (a corrupt rendering of 'Si Dominus mihi adiutor') runs around the outer rim, consistent with the garbled inscriptions typical of this atypical emission struck at the Tuy mint. |
