Obverse description Draped bust of Mozaffar al-Din Shah Qajar in elaborate military uniform, turned one-quarter to the right, featuring a distinctive tall Qajar crown adorned with a jewelled aigrette. The effigy displays the Shah's characteristic full mustache and beard, with epaulettes, decorations, and military regalia rendered in fine relief. The AH date 1316 is inscribed in Eastern Arabic numerals divided across the field to either side of the portrait, with '١٣' to the right and '١٦' to the left. The coin is framed by a prominent beaded border running along the full circumference.
