| Reverse description | Hammered gold reverse bearing a multi-line Persian and Arabic legend in Nasta'liq script, disposed across the field within linear cartouche borders. The central inscription names the mint city of Kashan (Dar al-Mu'minin) and the AH date 1206, flanked by the repeated invocation 'Ya Muhammad' three times. A partial beaded border is visible along portions of the periphery. The bold, deeply struck calligraphy is characteristic of early Qajar hammered gold issues. |
