| Obverse description | Hammered gold flan bearing a multi-line Persian poetic legend in bold Nasta'liq script, arranged in three horizontal registers separated by raised linear cartouche borders. The text fills the entire field and invokes the authority of the Imam, identifying him as the rightful master of the age (Sahib al-Zaman). The irregular flan edges display the characteristic uneven striking of late 18th-century Iranian hammered coinage. No figural imagery is present; the design is purely epigraphic in the Safavid-Qajar tradition. |
