Reverse description Quartered heraldic shield of the Duchy of Brunswick-Lüneburg, surmounted by an ornate ducal crown and flanked by elaborate Baroque mantling. The shield displays the traditional dynastic quarterings including the rampant lion of Brunswick and the heraldic devices of Lüneburg. The date is split to the left and right of the crown at the top of the field. The pious motto DOMINUS PROVIDEBIT (The Lord will provide) is arranged in two lines across the field and in the surrounding legend, referencing the ducal house's religious conviction. A beaded border frames the entire reverse design.
