| Obverse description | Draped bust of Archbishop Sigismund von Schrattenbach facing right, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the vestments and ecclesiastical regalia. The encircling Latin legend, commencing at 8 o'clock, reads the full titular style of the Archbishop as Prince of Salzburg, Apostolic Legate, and Primate of Germany. On certain 1770 issues, the initials FM appear below the bust, denoting the engraver Franz Mazenkopf. The portrait is set within a plain inner circle against a flat field. |
