| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Emperor Rudolph II facing right, wearing a ruffled collar, set within a beaded inner circle. The effigy is rendered in the late Renaissance style characteristic of Habsburg imperial portraiture of the period. The legend, abbreviated in Latin, runs continuously around the periphery outside the beaded circle. No date appears on the obverse. |
