Obverse description Frontal bust of St. Blaise (Sveti Vlaho), patron saint of Ragusa, depicted in episcopal vestments with right hand raised in blessing and left hand holding a model of the city of Ragusa together with a crozier. The initials S and B (Sanctus Blasius) flank the figure on either side. The circular legend, commencing at the left, reads in Latin invoking divine intercession through the saint.

Reverse description Central shield bearing the arms of the Republic of Ragusa — depicting the city's fortress — set within an elaborate baroque cartouche with scrolling acanthus mantling. The shield is surmounted by a large crown topped by a cross. The date 1731 appears in the upper field flanking the crown. A circular Latin legend surrounds the composition, reading as an abbreviation for the Senate, Duke, and perpetual republic of Ragusa, divided at centre left and right.
