Obverse description Veiled and draped bust of Empress Maria Theresia facing right, wearing a widow's veil without a brooch at the shoulder, her hair arranged in loose curls beneath the veil. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail characteristic of late Baroque Imperial portraiture. A continuous Latin legend encircles the bust, divided at its base, reading M THERESIA D G R IMP HU BO REG, all within a beaded border.

Reverse description A crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed, each head surmounted by an individual archducal crown, both united beneath a central imperial crown. The eagle's breast bears an ornate crowned escutcheon displaying the composite arms of the Habsburg dominions. The mintmaster's initials and mint marks appear below the eagle's talons, while the regnal year is incorporated into the encircling Latin legend reading ARCHID AUST DUX BURG CO TYR, all contained within a beaded border.
