Obverse description Armored and crowned half-length effigy of Archduke Leopold V facing right, depicted in elaborately detailed plate armor with two horizontal stripes visible on the torso below the shoulder pauldron, which bears a prominent lion-head boss. The right elbow extends beyond the inner circle border, lending dynamism to the composition. The figure holds a scepter in the right hand. The legend is disposed around a beaded inner circle enclosing the bust.
