Obverse description Armored half-length effigy of Archduke Leopold V facing right, wearing a cuirass with low shoulder pauldron and one elbow extending beyond the beaded inner circle, the right hand raising a scepter. The figure is crowned and presented in a dignified martial pose characteristic of early 17th-century Habsburg portraiture. The Latin legend is disposed around the periphery of the coin, outside the beaded inner circle.
