Obverse description Half-length effigy of Archduke Leopold V facing right, depicted in armour and wearing a crown, his right hand raised holding a sceptre. The figure is rendered in a formal Baroque portrait style typical of early seventeenth-century Habsburg coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust within the coin's field.

Reverse description A large crowned composite heraldic shield occupies the centre of the reverse, bearing the quartered arms of the Habsburg territories including Austria, Burgundy, and Tyrol, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The shield is surmounted by an ornate archdual crown with elaborate scrollwork supporters. A circular Latin legend reading DVX BVRGVNDI COMES TIROLIS runs around the periphery of the coin, separated from the inner circle by the beaded border.
