Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, with long flowing hair, within an inner circle. The emperor is shown wearing armor with elaborate drapery, his characteristic Habsburg features prominently rendered. The encircling legend reads in Latin around the periphery, with the title identifying him as King of Rome, Hungary, and Bohemia. The portrait is executed in high relief in the Baroque court style typical of the Vienna Mint during the mid-seventeenth century.
