Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, with his characteristic long flowing wig, occupying the central field. A small Hungarian coat of arms appears at the lower left of the bust. The encircling Latin legend reads LEOPOLD D G R I S A GER HV BO REX, with the date placed at the conclusion of the inscription. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the baroque style typical of late 17th- and early 18th-century Habsburg coinage.
