| Reverse description | The elaborate Batthyány family coat of arms is displayed at center, surmounted by a princely coronet and helmet, and supported on either side by two rampant winged horses (Pegasi). The shield is flanked by draped mantling and military trophies, with a scroll beneath bearing the motto FIDELITATE ET FORTITUDINE. The entire composition is enclosed within a crowned princely mantle. The circular Latin legend, divided by the date 1789 at the top, encircles the design and records the prince's full titles and offices. |
