Obverse description At center, a large crowned and radiant personified sun dominates the field, its rays extending toward the border. Three smaller crowns of differing styles are distributed around the central solar effigy, each representing a distinct royal house. The entire design is contained within a double linear border interspersed with a laurel wreath, with a six-petaled rosette placed at each of the four corners of the square klippe flan. The surrounding legend in Latin script is divided across the field in two registers.
