Obverse description Laureate and armored bust of Emperor Joseph I facing right, with long flowing wig extending to the shoulder, the emperor wearing elaborate plate armor with decorative detail visible at the neckline. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the baroque style characteristic of early 18th-century Silesian coinage. The circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, reading IOSEPHVS · DG · RO · IMP : S · A · GE · H · B · REX ·, abbreviating his full imperial and royal titles.
