Obverse description Armoured, draped bust of Emperor Joseph I facing right, wearing a heavy curly wig, breaking through the inner beaded circle. The bold effigy is depicted without laurel wreath. The circumferential legend is interrupted at lower left by a crowned Hungarian shield and at lower right by the Madonna and Child device, both serving as traditional Hungarian royal heraldic elements. The composition reflects the high-baroque portrait style characteristic of early 18th-century Habsburg coinage.
