Reverse description The reverse bears a multi-line funerary inscription in Roman capital lettering filling the entire field, recording in Latin the birth, reign, widowhood, death, and burial of John George III, Count of Mansfeld. The text is arranged in horizontal lines across the flat field without additional decorative elements, terminating with a pious declaration of the deceased's expectation of glorious resurrection. The mintmaster's initials I.I.G. appear in the lower exergue. A milled border runs around the full circumference, consistent with the medal-like commemorative character of the issue.
