Reverse description The quartered arms of Salzburg and the Archbishop Hieronymus von Colloredo, surmounted by a princely hat and displayed over an ornate mantle, with a sword and crozier crossed behind the shield as symbols of temporal and spiritual authority. The heraldic composition is carefully centred within the field, flanked by the crossed insignia and framed by the flowing mantle. The clearly divided date 1772 appears below the shield in the lower portion of the field. The reverse design reflects the formal ecclesiastical and secular dignity of the Prince-Archbishop.
