Reverse description Central shield bearing the arms of the Teutonic Order, composed of a floriated cross formed by four pillar-like arms with a small escutcheon at center charged with an eagle. The cross divides the field into four quadrants, each containing a coat of arms on a German-style shield, arranged clockwise: the quartered sable and argent Hohenzollern arms, the crowned rampant lion of Ansbach, the Griffin of Pomerania, and the Red Eagle of Brandenburg. The Latin legend surrounds a beaded inner circle, commencing at 12 o'clock with the date appearing at the conclusion of the inscription.
