Obverse description Full-length figure of Saint George in armour, facing right, slaying a dragon beneath his feet, with the historic shield of Mansfeld arms displayed in the lower field before him. The surrounding legend in Latin identifies the three co-ruling counts. The design is rendered in the vigorous late-Renaissance hammered style typical of mid-sixteenth-century German territorial coinage.
