| Reverse description | The quartered arms of the County of Lippe displayed on an ornate baroque shield, surmounted by a comital crown, and supported on either side by rampant lions as heraldic supporters, with elaborate acanthus-scroll mantling below. The date 1715 is divided by the base of the shield in the lower field. The Latin motto legend IVSTVM ET DECORVM (Just and Seemly) arcs across the upper portion of the field within the rope-twist inner border. The whole design is contained within the octagonal klippe flan with plain sloped edges. |
