Obverse description Elaborate four-fold quartered coat of arms with a central inescutcheon bearing the star of Waldeck, the quarters displaying the arms of Münster (crossed keys) and Osnabrück (wheel), the whole set within decorative cartouche-style mantling. The circular legend runs around the periphery of the field, separated from the arms by an inner beaded border.

Reverse description Three-quarter-length facing figures of the Apostles Saints Peter and Paul rendered in the late Gothic manner, Saint Peter at left holding his attribute of the keys and Saint Paul at right holding a sword; four small heraldic shields divide the circular legend at the cardinal points, while the date is divided in the exergue by a small shield bearing the star of Waldeck. The legend names the two patron saints in abbreviated Latin.
