Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of Ferdinand Karl of Habsburg, Archduke of Austria and Duke of Tyrol, rendered in high relief within a beaded or linear inner circle, the crown of the head breaking through the circle boundary. The portrait is executed in the Baroque style typical of mid-17th-century Tyrolean coinage. A Latin legend, commencing at 12 o'clock, encircles the effigy and includes the regnal date 1654 distributed within the inscription.
