Obverse description Crowned quartered coat of arms occupying the central field, displaying the heraldic devices of Holstein-Schaumburg-Pinneberg: mullets (six-pointed stars) and bars arranged in the four quarters, with a central escutcheon bearing a rose. The shield is surmounted by an ornate crown and flanked by decorative scrollwork. A circumferential Latin legend runs between an inner beaded border and the outer rim, identifying the issuer as Ernest III, by the grace of God Prince of the Holy Roman Empire and Count of Holstein-Schaumburg.
