Obverse description Armored draped bust of Margrave Charles William Frederick facing right, portrayed with long flowing curled wig in the baroque style. The effigy is rendered in high relief with detailed plate armor visible at the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads CAROLUS WILHER. M.BR.D.OR.B.NOR. around the periphery, with a beaded inner border framing the field.

Reverse description Allegorical figure of Justice seated facing, holding a sword upright in her right hand and a balance scale in her left, depicted in classical robes. A Latin motto legend UTILIBUS RECTUM PRAEPONERE SUADET curves around the upper field. In the exergue, a rectangular tablet bears a multi-line Latin inscription recording the founding of the new collegiate justice institution: NOV. COLLEG. INSTIT. FRANC. ONOLD. XVII. IVI. MDCCXXX. The composition is enclosed by a beaded border.
