| Reverse description | The reverse bears a ten-line commemorative inscription in bold, well-spaced Roman capital letters filling the entire field, recording the centenary of the divinely restored Protestant Reformation and its celebration by the Senate and People of Strasbourg on the Calends of November 1617. The text is introduced by a small ornamental device and the field is framed by a continuous wreath of laurel or olive leaves running around the entire circumference within the toothed border. |
