| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the elaborately rendered oval armorial shield of the Abbey of Beromünster, surmounted by a crested helm topped with a decorative crown issuing acanthus-style mantling that extends symmetrically into the field. The shield bears the abbey's heraldic device rendered in high relief. Flanking the arms are ornate foliate and floral sprigs in Baroque style. The circumferential Latin legend is divided around the design, with the date rendered as '720' and the initials 'UB' appearing in the lower field. |
