Reverse description A bold cruciform monogram composed of four mirror-image interlaced 'B' letters arranged in a cross, their curved strokes meeting at the centre to form an ornate, symmetrical device occupying the majority of the field. The junction of the four letters is marked by a central star or rosette. The surrounding circular legend, separated by a beaded inner border, incorporates the date 1679 and is terminated by six-pointed stars used as word dividers. The outer edge is defined by a beaded rim consistent with the obverse.
