Obverse description A detailed panoramic view of the city of Nuremberg occupies the central field, depicting the skyline with numerous church spires, towers, and civic buildings rendered in fine engraved relief. Above the cityscape, three heraldic shields are displayed: the imperial eagle of Nuremberg at center, flanked by two smaller civic arms, all surmounted by a small star. The Latin legend SUBVENIAT FINIS IUDICIUMVE PIIS appears in three lines in the lower field beneath the city view, with the partial legend MOREPUB and NORIBERG flanking the shields above. The overall composition reflects the refined engraving tradition of early seventeenth-century German hammered coinage, with a milled border encircling the entire design.
