Reverse description A double-headed imperial eagle displayed, with wings spread and each head crowned individually, surmounted by a single imperial crown at the top, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The eagle's breast is covered with scaled plumage, and the talons extend downward with decorative foliate elements. The surrounding circular legend reads RVDOLPH. II. ROM. - IMPE. AVGUST. in Latin characters, referring to Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II, with stops separating the abbreviated titles, within the outer beaded border.
