| Obverse description | Draped and crowned bust of Francis I facing right, wearing an elaborate crown adorned with fleurs-de-lis and a plumed hat, with visible drapery at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the late Gothic style typical of early French Renaissance coinage. A circular beaded inner border frames the bust, with the royal legend distributed around the periphery of the coin. |
