| Obverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription reading the honorific al-muayyad bi-tayid al-rahman, followed by the royal epithet shams al-dunya wal-din abul nasr, all executed in a bold, angular calligraphic style typical of Gujarat Sultanate hammered coinage. The legend is arranged in horizontal registers filling the flan, with no border or geometric frame on this side. The script is deeply struck but irregular at the edges due to the hand-struck production method. |
