Obverse description Central field bears a two-line Arabic inscription reading 'Khalifah / Abu Al-Fatah' (meaning 'Caliph / Father of Victory'), rendered in Naskh-style script within a plain circular border. The legends are struck in relief on an irregular flan typical of hammered billon coinage of the Delhi Sultanate period. The inscription invokes the caliphal title, asserting the sultan's religious legitimacy.
