Obverse description Central device comprising a royal coronet (mongkut) set upon a lotus-form pedestal, emitting radiating rays from its apex, flanked on either side by a multi-tiered royal ceremonial umbrella (chatra) mounted on ornate bases. The entire design is rendered in fine relief with elaborate decorative detail characteristic of Siamese royal regalia. The composition is enclosed within a beaded inner border and a toothed outer border.
