Obverse description Three tiered Buddhist chedis (stupas) of varying heights dominate the central field, the tallest and most elaborately rendered occupying the centre, flanked by two smaller stupas to either side. Ornate floral and foliate scrollwork fills the interstices between the stupas, while radiating beams emanate from the apex of the central chedi. A decorative urn or pedestal element is positioned at the base of the central stupa. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border and a toothed outer rim, with small five-pointed stars interspersed along the inner border.
