| Reverse description | A long forked cross divides the reverse field into four quarters, with its arms extending to the inner beaded border. A fleur-de-lis occupies the center of the cross, serving as the focal decorative element. The four angles formed by the cross arms are alternately filled with stylized lilies and lions passant, rendered in the Gothic heraldic tradition common to Flemish coinage of the period. Two concentric circular legends in uncial Latin script encircle the design, the outer legend reading as a devotional phrase. The overall composition is characteristic of the patard coinage struck under Philip the Handsome during the regency period. |
