Reverse description Crowned and ornately garnished shield of the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom, quartered with the arms of England, Scotland, and Ireland, with the Hanoverian escutcheon en surtout, surrounded by an elaborate wreath of rose, thistle, and shamrock sprays flanking the shield. The imperial crown surmounts the shield above, and the date 1821 is divided by the wreath at the lower left and right. The legend 'ANNO 1821' appears around the design within the milled border.
