Reverse description Centrally placed crowned quartered royal shield of arms, displaying the arms of France (fleurs-de-lis) and England (passant guardant lions) in alternate quarters, flanked on either side by the royal initials 'E' and 'R' (Edwardus Rex) in the field. The shield is surmounted by an arched imperial crown and supported by elaborate foliate mantling. The Latin legend EDWARD VI D G AGL FRA Z HIB REX runs around the periphery within a beaded border, with the whole design contained between inner and outer cable or beaded circles.
