Reverse description Central device depicts the early arms of the Provincias del Río de la Plata within an oval cartouche: two clasped hands in the lower half symbolizing union, surmounted by a pike bearing a Phrygian liberty cap, all enclosed within an oval frame. The arms are flanked by two symmetrical laurel branches tied at the base, forming a wreath. The circumferential legend EN UNION Y LIBERTAD is inscribed in the upper arc, with the mint mark PTS, assayers' initials F and L, and the date 1815 arranged in the lower arc, all separated by ornamental stops.
