Reverse description Central field bears the four-line inscription D N / THEL / A REX, identifying the Ostrogothic king Theia as the issuing authority. The legend is set within a wreath border composed of stylized olive or laurel branches, a decorative motif inherited from late Roman numismatic tradition. The lettering is boldly rendered in a rough, provincial hand consistent with hammered coinage of the mid-sixth century. The wreath enclosure gives the reverse a compact, monumental appearance. No additional symbols or mint marks are present in the field.
