Obverse description Radiate and draped bust of Anastasius I facing right, rendered in a barbaric imitative style characteristic of Gepidic coinage. The radiate crown is depicted with pronounced, stylized rays. The surrounding legend reads OAPTAO - OPIAAC in Latin characters, partially retrograde and degenerate, reflecting the local die-cutter's unfamiliarity with the imperial prototype. The portrait, though abstracted, retains the general outline of late Roman imperial effigy tradition.
