Reverse description The crowned arms of Savoy, consisting of a quartered shield bearing the cross of Savoy, supported on either side by rampant lions standing on an ornamental base with a grotesque mask. The royal crown surmounts the shield above. The date 1680 appears in the exergue below the coat of arms. The partial legend PRIN. PEDE. REX. CYPRI. arcs around the upper field, denoting the titles Prince of Piedmont and King of Cyprus. The milled border frames the entire design.
