Obverse description Two adjacently placed crowned or suspended coats of arms occupying the central field: the dexter shield bearing a rampant lion (Palatinate), and the sinister shield divided with the Bavarian lozengy pattern, the two shields joined at their bases. A Gothic letter O appears below the shields in the lower field. The surrounding circular legend is rendered in Gothic script within a beaded inner border.
